
Pinnacle Dance Competition - Privacy Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: January 1, 2021
By registering for and participating in Pinnacle Dance Competition (hereinafter referred to as “Pinnacle”), participants and their guardians (if applicable) agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are legally binding and apply to all participants, including dancers, instructors, studio staff, and audience members.

1. Media Release and Ownership
1.1 By participating in Pinnacle, all participants and their guardians grant Pinnacle the right to
photograph, film, or record their likeness, performances, and participation in the competition.
1.2 All media, including but not limited to photographs, videos, and audio recordings, taken during
Pinnacle events become the exclusive property of Pinnacle. Pinnacle reserves the right to use this
media in promotional materials, including on websites, social media, advertising, and any other form
of public communication, without compensation to participants.
1.3 Participants and their guardians waive any rights to inspect or approve any media in which their
likeness appears and release Pinnacle from any claims related to the use of such media.
2. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
2.1 Participation in Pinnacle events is voluntary and at the participant's own risk. Participants and
their guardians acknowledge the inherent risks involved in dance activities, including but not limited
to physical injury, accidents, and other unforeseen incidents.
2.2 Pinnacle and the hosting venue are not liable for any injuries, accidents, illnesses, or losses that
may occur to participants, spectators, or property during the competition or related events.
Participants assume full responsibility for personal health and property during the competition.
2.3 By participating in Pinnacle, participants and their guardians release, indemnify, and hold
harmless Pinnacle, its directors, officers, staff, affiliates, and the hosting venue from any claims,
demands, or actions arising from any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during the competition.
2.4 Participants are responsible for their own insurance coverage. Pinnacle does not provide any
medical or accident insurance for participants.
3. Code of Conduct
3.1 All participants, including dancers, instructors, and audience members, are expected to maintain
a respectful and professional demeanor at all times. Use of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs is strictly
prohibited on the premises during the competition. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in
disqualification or removal from the event without refund.
3.2 All routines, music, costumes, and behavior must be family-friendly and appropriate for all ages.
Pinnacle reserves the right to disqualify any routine or participant deemed to be in violation of this
policy.
3.3 Pinnacle reserves the right to disqualify, expel, or refuse entry to any participant or attendee
violating the Code of Conduct, without refund.
4. Refund Policy
4.1 All fees paid to Pinnacle are non-refundable under any circumstances. This includes, but is not
limited to, entry fees, registration fees, deposits, and any other payments made to Pinnacle.
4.2 In the event of cancellation, postponement, or modification of the event schedule, refunds will
not be issued. Pinnacle reserves the right to reschedule or adjust the event as deemed necessary
without compensation to participants.
4.3 Participants who withdraw or are disqualified from the competition are not eligible for any
refunds.
5. Privacy and Data Collection
5.1 Pinnacle may collect personal information from participants for registration, communications,
and event management purposes. Pinnacle is committed to protecting participants' privacy and will
not share personal information with third parties unless required by law or necessary for event
operations.
5.2 By registering, participants consent to receive communications from Pinnacle related to the
event, including updates, announcements, and promotional materials.
6. Rules and Regulations
6.1 Pinnacle reserves the right to change, update, or amend any and all rules and regulations
governing the competition at any time, without notice. Participants are responsible for regularly
reviewing these terms and conditions to stay informed of any updates.
7. Amendments
7.1 Pinnacle reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be
posted on the official Pinnacle Dance Competition website, and participants are responsible for
reviewing these terms regularly.
8. Photo/Video Policy for Attendees
8.1 Audience members may be permitted to take personal photos or videos; however, the use of
flash is strictly prohibited during performances to avoid distracting performers and judges.
8.2 Attendees are not permitted to post recorded performances online without prior consent from
Pinnacle, ensuring that all public content aligns with the competition's media policies.
9. Health and Safety Protocols
9.1 Pinnacle adheres to health and safety guidelines to ensure the wellbeing of all participants and
attendees. Pinnacle reserves the right to implement additional protocols (such as masks,
sanitization requirements, or temperature checks) as deemed necessary.
9.2 Participants or attendees exhibiting symptoms of illness may be asked to leave or refrain from
attending to protect the health of others.
10. Music Submission Guidelines
10.1 All music must be pre-approved and submitted by a specified deadline before the competition
date. Pinnacle reserves the right to reject any music that is deemed inappropriate, offensive, or not
family-friendly.
10.2 Participants are required to keep a backup copy of their music in case of technical issues.
11. Lost or Stolen Items
11.1 Pinnacle and the hosting venue are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal
property, including but not limited to costumes, equipment, and valuables.
11.2 Participants and attendees are encouraged to keep their personal belongings secure at all
times. Lost and found items will be held for a limited time, and unclaimed items may be discarded.
12. Event Alterations
12.1 In the event of unforeseen circumstances (such as extreme weather, natural disasters, or other
emergencies), Pinnacle reserves the right to delay, reschedule, or modify the event format as
necessary for the safety of participants and attendees.
12.2 Pinnacle is not responsible for costs incurred by participants as a result of schedule changes,
including travel or accommodation expenses.
13. Eligibility Requirements
13.1 Participants must meet specific eligibility requirements for each competition level (Level 1,
Level 2, or Level 3) and agree to adhere to the guidelines for their designated level.
13.2 Pinnacle reserves the right to move participants to a different competition level if deemed
necessary based on skill and experience.
14. Dispute Resolution
14.1 Any disputes regarding scores, placements, or other competition outcomes must be submitted
in writing within 24 hours of the event conclusion. Pinnacle's decision is final and binding.
14.2 Pinnacle reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be engaging in
unsportsmanlike behavior or otherwise compromising the integrity of the competition.
